After earning a Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and being admitted to practice in Oklahoma, Veronica joined CAIR Oklahoma as Staff Attorney and then expanded her role to Civil Rights Director. Her commentary on the state of civil rights in Oklahoma has been published in dozens of local media outlets, and she has been asked to speak at a variety of organizations, including the Oklahoma Department of Education, the John Hope Franklin Symposium, the Arkansas Fair Housing Commission, and many interfaith programs. She is proud to serve the Muslim community of Oklahoma and to build bridges of tolerance, justice, and mutual understanding in the state that she calls home.

Don't miss the chance to gain more knowledge to protect your basic rights.  Join CAIR Oklahoma’s Civil Rights Director Veronica Laizure for an informational evening about the work of CAIR, your rights as a Muslim American, and how you can advocate for your community and protect civil liberties in Arkansas. CAIR is the nation’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization that empowers American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.

Eid al-Adha

We had our first Eid in Madina Institute today, inside our brand new prayer hall. The root meaning of Eid is, “that which returns again and rejoice” Heart warming khutba by Imam Nawaz encouraging us to make this Eid a day of rejoicing with family and friends; repairing strained relationships; reconnecting with Allah swt; turning to Him in gratitude and love; and ofcourse enjoying a warm & hearty breakfast. Jazakum'Allah khairun to all of you for coming and making Madina Institute's first Eid an extraordinary celebration.

Assalam O Alaykum Dear Friends and Supporters,

We have exciting news to share with you. Tomorrow morning Friday November 18th, we will get keys and ownership of the new masjid. We realize that a lot of work needs to be done for the Musallah space to be ready but we are very excited and cannot wait to open House of Allah for prayers, as it is.

The first prayers in the new masjid will be held tomorrow at 12:30 pm. Shaykh Muhammad bin Yahya al-Ninowy, founder of the Institute, will be delivering the Jummah khutbah. Please share the joys of having a new Masjid in west Little Rock by being part of this blessed and historic event.

Parking space and wudu area is very limited now. Please try to come in wudu and carpool. We will have rugs to pray on but you can help by bringing extra prayer mats with you. Masjid address is 12123 Kanis Rd (right behind Goodwill and Storage Units facing Kanis)

Wassalam,
