Sunday School at Madina Institute aims to provide quality Islamic education in a social setting where children can learn about Islam together. We meet every Sunday during the academic year from 10 A.M. - 12:30 P.M. We welcome all students ages 5+ offering classes in Quran memorization and recitation, Tajweed, Islamic studies, Tafseer, and Seerah, all at different levels. Most importantly, we aim to build a sense of community for our children.
Mission
Our mission is to nurture and develop an engaged and informed Muslim American future generation who will lead in making positive contributions to our society. We provide a fun-filled and learning-focused Islamic environment for our children where they learn, play, and interact with other Muslim children and create friendships that will last a lifetime. We teach students the basics of the beautiful religion of Islam in all its aspects of beliefs and actions, building the character of the Muslim child who is living in a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic environment with highly diverse moral values. We mirror the goals of Madina Institute through education, cultivating compassion through community service activities, and illumination by encouraging critical thinking and thoughtful discussions on current topics.
Our Goals
Provide Islamic education commensurate with students' age and level of knowledge
Be inclusive and accessible to all students to promote diversity and unity while respecting our differences
Celebrate Islamic manners and Islamic way of life to encourage positive contributions to our society
Utilize engaging teaching methods to impart knowledge of Islam and to foster love of Islam
Treat all students, teachers, parents, and volunteers with utmost respect
We strive to provide an engaging environment to students, parents, teachers and volunteers alike to serve their needs and expectations as Muslims in America. We aspire to create an inviting and engaging environment for students through in-class instruction and extra-curricular activities.
With the help and support of our community, we continue to work towards helping students celebrate Islamic manners and Islamic way of life as we foster love of Islam and encourage them to become contributing members of our American social fabric. Sunday School at Madina Institute is run 100% by volunteers who commit their time and energy to provide an Islamic learning environment that complements your children’s regular education. The Sunday school would not be successful without the strong commitment of the volunteers and parents. May Allah (SWT) help us in bringing up a strong and knowledgeable next generation of Muslims through all of our efforts at the School. We thank you for contributing to the Sunday School and look forward to your children making friends at the Sunday School and learning about Islam in a nurturing and friendly environment.
