Abu Huraira reported that Allah’s messenger ﷺ said: “Allah will raise a righteous servant’s degree in paradise. He/she will ask his/her Lord: how has this been granted me? It will be replied: because your son has made Istighfar (asked pardon) for you.” (Imam Ahmad)
