Happy Mother's Day
In Islam, mothers hold a special place of honor.
Abu Huraira Raziallahu Anhu narrated that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, ‘O Messenger of God! Who among the people is the most worthy of my good companionship?
The Prophet ﷺ said: Your mother.
The man said, ‘Then who?' The Prophet ﷺ said: Then your mother.
The man further asked, ‘Then who?' The Prophet ﷺ said: Then your mother. The man asked again, ‘Then who?' The Prophet ﷺ said: Then your father.
(Bukhari, Muslim).
Mother's Day, a celebration of maternal love and sacrifice, reminds us of the invaluable role mothers play in our lives. While we can never fully repay them, let's show our appreciation through words of gratitude, acts of kindness, and spending quality time together. Let's cherish and honor our mothers not just on this special day but every day.
Youth Halaqa: Led by Abdullah Najjar
If you have children ages 14 or above, have them join the Youth Halaqa led by Abdullah Najjar who is the Assistant Imam & Youth Director of one of the most active Masjids in America. He’s also a graduate student in law & religious studies. He has mentored over 1,000 students from around the world and won numerous awards for tutoring and mentoring youth.
Abdullah spoke to Muslim medical students of Harvard, Tufts, University of Massachusetts & Boston University, as well as students at Berkeley, Rice, Clemson, Creighton, Toledo, Brandeis, GSU, UNL, ECU, UNLV, TXState, UTSA, A&M, and State University of New York.
He has been interviewed for a Harvard documentary, by local NPR & PBS, NRG radio, and local TV stations.

Imam Abdullah Najjar's Special Sessions
We are honored to welcome Abdullah Najjar, Imam and Youth Director, as our guest speaker this week.
He will deliver the Khutbah on Friday and lead engaging Halaqa sessions during our Family Night, as well as the Youth Halaqa on Saturday.
